Two verses arranged to celebrate Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
Auld lang syne   F major, 5 pages, 75 bars, 2 min 33 secs

This great Scottish folk song arranged for piano, voice and tin whistle.

Ar Hyd y Nos (All through the night) - coming soon

Deutschlandlied - coming soon

Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau  D and Eb major, 5 pages, 112 bars, 3 mins 23 secs

Sing along to Land of my Fathers as you'd expect a Welsh Choir, Katherine Jenkins or Bryn Terfel to, not as John Redwood did in 1993. The arrangement starts fairly simply, getting more complex in both rhythm and texture as the three verses unfold. The accompanying words are in both Welsh and English.

La Marseillaise - coming soon

Scotland the Brave - coming soon

The Londonderry Air  C and D major, 3 pages, 46 bars, 3 mins 5 secs.

This is easier than it might look. After a very straightforward first section, the use of note clusters and a modulation gives this arrangement some bite. Let your fingers do most of the work, once you've played it through several times.

The Star-Spangled Banner - coming soon

Au clair de la Lune  F major, 2 pages, 54 bars, 2 mins 0 secs
Swing along to this generally thickly-textured arrangement.

For He's a Jolly Good Cowboy D major, 2 pages, 81 bars

A tiring few days in the saddle reaches an enjoyable ending - home sweet home with the family!

Greensleeves  G minor, 2 pages, 81 bars

Four variations on this well-known Tudor folk song.

Rondo alla London Bridge  D major, 2 pages, 64 bars

Here you will be able to play the repeated theme of London Bridge whilst it alternates with other contrasting themes.

The Drunken Sailor  D minor, 2 pages, 102 bars

Can you imagine the story this arrangement portrays?

Guten Abend, gute Nacht  F major, 1 page, 57 bars, 2 mins, 9 secs

The familiar Lullaby written by Brahms, here arranged for the Left Hand only. It is useful in helping to develop the skill of having different dynamics for different voices in one hand. There are a few ledger lines to work out too. Ravel wrote a Piano Concerto for the Left Hand nearly 80 years ago; in July 2012 a one-handed pianist graduated from the Royal College of Music.

Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643-1704) was a French composer of the Baroque period.

Away in a Manger  F major, 2 pages, 56 bars, 1 min 41 secs

Here you will find a static Left Hand part. It sticks to the five finger F major position, though it changes for each verse. All the words are included so that you can practise playing and singing if you wish.

Hark! the Herald Angels sing  F major, 4 pages, 68 bars, 2 mins 45 secs

Much of this four part arrangement follows the traditional harmony many of us know and enjoy. However, a few of the latter bars of this three verse Carol, have a certain darker feel to what you might normally hear or play.

In the bleak midwinter - coming in 2018

O Come all ye faithful - coming  in 2018

O Little Town of Bethlehem  F major, 2 pages, 25 bars, 3 mins 21 secs

Could you play this fairly straightforward accompaniment whilst singing the lyrics to the four verses at the same time? The melody doesn't coincide with the piano part very often.

Once in Royal David's City - coming in 2018

Silent Night  Bb major, 3 pages, 50 bars, 2 min 10 secs

Here you will find a lilting and gentle arrangement, with a separate piano accompaniment to the melody line.  The second verse contains a few jazzy chord progressions. The short interludes between the verses give you time to catch your breath if you are singing it as well!

The First Nowell  C and D major, 3 pages, 61 bars, 5 mins 10 secs

The music for the first verse is in C major. It is repeated for the first five verses, before modulating into D major for the final verse. This sixth verse has slightly different harmonies. Most of the piece is in two parts and all the lyrics are included.
